I love how things evolve. I started out with a silly idea of “What if I put a Vampire, the only one of its kind into a crime, who dun it supernatural type thing”
That’s my idea, yes it’s silly but I was trying to distract myself. I have finished the second draft of ‘Ghosts’ and I wanted to play with something else. I thought i’d do it in a screenplay format.
WriterDuet, CeltX and others later I finally settled on Kitscenarist as my software of choice for now. As I had been playing with others I thought I would just write the first couple of ‘acts’ as I went.
First one I posted here, Second one got really weird with Samantha talking to the camera and breaking the fourth wall (Yeah I didn’t like that either), third one just didn’t scan right. Forth one though I actually quite like. Its still technically a first draft, but it’s fun, very fast and I think may be interesting.
Anyway….
Formatting is borked for some reason.

SEAN (VOICE OVER)
I live my life. I wander, I help. I have loved and I am searching.
BLACK SCREEN - 1953
SEAN (VOICE OVER)
But I do not die.
1. EXT. ALLEYWAY - DAY
THE OPENING IS QUITE "ACTION" HEAVY. ITS SOMETHING I WOULD USUALLY WANT TO STAY AWAY FROM, BUT IN THIS CASE I DID NOT WANT DIALOGUE MESSING IT UP.
THE ALLEYWAY IS FILLED WITH WOODEN BOXES.
Sean stands over the body of a man.
Sean has a baseball bat in his arms, he swings it one last time at the man hitting him square in the bloody mess that was once his face. The jaw shatters with a crack.
He leans forwards and starts plucking the teeth one by one from the fleshy mess that was once a face. He places the teeth into his pocket.
Sean sits back on one of the wooden boxes and reaches into another pocket. He pulls out a cigar cutter. Looks down at the body and grabs a hand.
He calmly starts with the thumb and works his way along the hands to the other thumb, snipping each finger and thumb one by one.
(There is no rush, no hurry. He is not panicked in any way and is completely calm.)
He picks the fingers (and thumbs) up one by one and places them into the same pocket as the teeth.
Looking down at the body again he smashes his foot into the face with all the force he can muster, the foot sinks into what was once a face with ease.
He smiles and walks towards the camera and out of shot.
TITLES.
2. EXT. CANAL - CONTINUOUS
Sean is walking along a canal, throwing teeth at random into the canal or bushes. He is pacing himself, but also trying to make sure they are separated.
3. EXT. SEANS HOUSE - CONTINUOUS
Sean is sat in a chair in his front room. In front of him is an open fire burning away, he throws the fingers one by one into the fire.
With the last one done he grabs a bottle of pills from the table next to him and throws as many as he can into his mouth. He crunches down on them making sure they are all crushed.
He reaches beside the chair and grabs a bottle of vodka, he gulps it down from the bottle and sits back.
SEAN
This one was for you Sarah
He closes his eyes and falls into a drug induced slumber. We watch as his body shakes and he vomits everywhere. Eventually the body gives up its hold on life and slumps from the chair.
The camera pans the room looking at things as it goes. We see a picture of someone, we move towards the kitchen area and its a mess. Not quite hoarder mess, but its not tidy. It lacks the touch of someone who is house proud, or indeed has something to live for.
Finally we settle on a note on a side.
SEAN (VOICE OVER)
I suspect I will be in hell, while you are almost certainly in heaven. It was worth it my love.
We hear a cough from being the camera and we quickly turn to see what it was. Sean is stood there looking as good as new, in fact he looked better than new. His hair is neat, the tiredness in his skin has gone, his eyes shine with a new life. He wipes the vomit from his mouth and looks at his arms like he is seeing them anew, he looks around the room everything new and exciting.
4. INT. DOCTORS OFFICE - DAY
BLACK SCREEN "THE TWO MEET - PRESENT DAY"
Sean sits in a Doctors office with a Doctor (Richards). They are both sat at a large table, the table has notes on it. Dr. Richards is about 60.
DR. RICHARDS
Sean I've known you most of my life, we cant cure what we don't know and we don't know because everything about you is normal.
SEAN
But I am not normal, you know that.
5. INT./EXT. SEANS HOUSE. - FLASHBACK
DR. RICHARDS
Are you sure?
(Genuine concern)
SEAN
Just do it!
Dr Richards leans forwards and pushes a crucifix into Seans forehead, nothing happens.
DR. RICHARDS
Am I meant to say something?
SEAN
I don’t think so
6. INT. CHURCH. - FLASHBACK
SEAN
DO IT!
(He is shouting, psyching himself up)
Dr Richards grabs a handful of water from the font/stoup and throws it into Sean’s face
SEAN
Well I am wet
7. EXT. FIELD. - FLASHBACK
DR. RICHARDS
I'm not doing it
SEAN
Come on it'll be fine
DR. RICHARDS
It goes against everything I believe in!
SEAN
Fuck it.
Sean holds his arms out and falls backwards. A giant wooden spike comes up through his chest, straight through the middle, he lies there for a moment.
SEAN
Well shit, that hurt.
8. INT. DOCTORS OFFICE - DAY - CONT
DR. RICHARDS
Right, what do we know that's true.
SEAN
(Thinking, counting down with his fingers.)
I crave blood, Garlic is nasty, but not harmful just painful.
DR. RICHARDS
Go on.
SEAN
Crucifixes, Holy water, Stakes all bollocks.
(HE laughs)
Stakes hurt though, hurt like hell.
The Doctor opens a drawer and grabs a bottle of scotch, he pulls out two glasses and pours them both a few fingers.
DR. RICHARDS
You don't age, You seem and test as perfectly normal.
SEAN
It started in 53
DR. RICHARDS
(Interrupting)
Well no, it may not have done.
SEAN
What do you mean, I know the year I killed that bastard and when it started.
DR. RICHARDS
Maybe you have had it longer, but it only
(He uses his fingers for quotes)
Activated in 53 when you died. Maybe you caught whatever it is in 52, or 50 maybe even before.
SEAN
How far do you want me to go back, I think I'd remember being attacked by a bloody vampire.
He takes a sip from his drink.
DR. RICHARDS
Maybe you were born with it....
9. EXT. CRIME SCENE 1 WOODLANDS. - NIGHT
